Lane Cove Councillor Andrew Zbik is calling on Minister for Planning and Housing, and Member for Lane Cove, Anthony Roberts MP, to provide the residents of Lane Cove with a long-term infrastructure plan that considers the future growth of the Lane Cove area.

NSW Shadow Minister for Transport Jodi McKay visited the Lane Cove bus interchange with Lane Cove Labor this morning to observe the bus queues local residents are forced to endure each and every day.  

This is the second time this year the Shadow Minister has visited Lane Cove to put pressure on the Liberal member for Lane Cove to address overcrowding. 

Andrew Zbik, Labor Candidate for West Ward and David Roenfeldt, Labor Candidate for Central Ward, recognise the pain and suffering experienced by public transport users in the local area.

Lane Cove Labor have been running a campaign to improve the bus service in and out of the area.

Lane Cove Labor have organised for NSW Shadow Minister for Transport Jodi McKay to visit the Lane Cove bus interchange on Thursday morning 24th August.

Who would build a house but not plan to connect it to electricity or water supplies? No one would. Why would you build 2,000 new homes and not provide extra services such as buses? This is the current situation faced by residents in Lane Cove.
