LANE COVE COUNCIL BECOMES NEWEST REFUGEE WELCOME ZONE
Councillor Andrew Zbik announces that on Monday night, 11 December, 2017, Lane Cove Council passed his motion to become Sydney’s newest Refugee Welcome Zone.
The motion, put forward by Councillor Andrew Zbik, was passed 5:2 at the most recent Council meeting.
Andrew went to the local council elections promising to introduce the motion if elected and this result is fulfilment of that election commitment.

I would like to say thank you to the people of Lane Cove West and Lane Cove North who have put their trust in me by electing me as one of their Councillors for Lane Cove Council.
It is an absolute honour to be elected to such a position.
There were many people who helped with this campaign. However, special mention needs to be given to Lyn Nasir and Wayne Enright who both agreed to support me by being on our combined ticket. It takes a lot of faith to join a lead candidate on a ticket for an election.

NSW LABOR DEPUTY LEADER ATTENDING LANE COVE LABOR CAMPAIGN LAUNCH
Lane Cove Labor is delighted to welcome NSW Labor Deputy Leader and Shadow Minister for Planning & Infrastructure, Michael Daley MP, to its campaign launch and fundraiser.
The campaign launch will be held on Tuesday, 29th August at “The Terrace Room”, Lane Cove Community Hub, 3 Little Street, Lane Cove. It begins at 7:30pm.
