About Andrew

Councillor - West Ward - Lane Cove Municipal Council

In September 2017 I was elected to represent the residents of West Ward in the Lane Cove Municipal Council. From January 2022 to September 2023 I served as Mayor of Lane Cove.

This current term of Council will run to September 2024.

I hope that you can see my efforts to be available online with this website as well as social media show that I want to be accessible to local residents.

A local

I have lived in Lane Cove for over sixteen years now. In my young adult years I completed a Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws at Macquarie University. Today I live locally with my wife Bronwyn and our three young children.

Understanding our community

Along with thousands of locals, I combine working from home and either cycling or travel by bus into the city where I work as a senior financial planner in my own firm. I understand the need for a regular and reliable public transport system.

Local Government can be of great service to the local community. I intend to ensure we get the best value as residents from our Local Council.

A strong voice for Lane Cove

As our city continues to grow, we need a strong voice to represent our community and make sure local services keep pace. I will fight against the Liberals’ cuts to schools and TAFEs, hospitals and emergency services, and make sure Lane Cove gets a better deal. I have previously been the Labor candidate for Lane Cove at the 2019 and 2015 State Elections and the 2012 Lane Cove Council Election.
