A DALEY GOVERNMENT TO DELIVER NURSE TO PATIENT RATIOS – MORE THAN 5,500 NURSES

A Daley Labor Government will oversee the largest injection of nursing staff into NSW hospitals in a generation with more than 5,500 nurses and midwives to deliver mandated nurse to patient ratios. $35 MILLION BOOST FOR MUSIC SECTOR

A Daley Labor Government will increase public support for the music industry from $4 million to $35 million, providing a boost to musicians, venues, and an industry that generates hundreds of millions of dollars to the NSW economy. ANTHONY ROBERTS SHORT-CHANGES HIS OWN ELECTORATE

After 20 months of refusing to pay outstanding legal fees owed to Lane Cove Council following a legal fight to stop the forced amalgamation of local Councils, Anthony Roberts and the NSW Liberal Government have short-changed the residents of his own electorate. Lane Cove Council incurred $382,254 in legal fees to fight off the NSW Liberals unpopular proposal to forcibly amalgamate with Ryde Council and Hunters Hill Council. However, the NSW Liberal Government only identified $320,000 of legal costs and has offered to pay Lane Cove Council $255,000.     Continue reading
 

LABOR TO END PLANNING CHAOS ON MEDIUM DENSITY HOUSING

A Michael Daley Labor Government will immediately scrap the contentious Low Rise Medium Density Housing Code for all councils if elected on 23 March, bringing to an end the Liberals and Nationals’ chaotic approach to medium density housing. The Code, which permits a range of housing types to be approved and constructed without the consent of councils or consultation with neighbours, has been plagued by indecision and heavy-handedness from the Liberals and Nationals.
