NSW Labor Candidate for Lane Cove Andrew Zbik welcomes the announcement by NSW Labor Leader Michael Daley MP and NSW Shadow Minister for Planning Tania Mihailuk MP that a NSW Labor Government would immediately scrap all remaining Planned Precincts.  The Lane Cove community has had an enormous Planned Precinct forced upon them by the Liberals. The St Leonards and Crows Nest Planned Precinct allow for massive increases in density without any commitment from the Government for additional infrastructure or services to help communities. LIBERALS CLAIM THEY ARE ROLLING IN MONEY BUT REFUSE TO PAY THEIR DEBTS

After losing in court, the NSW Liberals are refusing to pay legal fees ordered by the Court of Appeal, despite claiming that they can afford $2.2 billion to rebuild stadiums in Sydney. In July 2017 the NSW Court of Appeal ordered the Berejiklian Government to reimburse the legal expenses of Lane Cove and Hunters Hill Councils. The Government had lost their case trying to impose forced council mergers on these local government areas. Continue reading
 

AYRES CLAIM DEBUNKED: THE PEOPLE OF NSW HAVE NOT HAD A CHANCE TO VOTE ON STADIUMS

NSW Labor has called out the Berejiklian Government’s claim that NSW citizens already held a referendum on stadiums four years ago and in particular on the controversial demolition and rebuild of Allianz Stadium. This week on ABC radio Sports Minister Stuart Ayres claimed that the stadium policy was put to the people at the 2015 NSW State Election.   Continue reading
