LANDCARE NSW TO GROW UNDER A DALEY LABOR GOVERNMENT

Labor’s commitment will double current funding and enable the organisation to deploy more front line and regional co-ordinators to assist volunteer groups with on ground works, resourcing, strategy and securing other partnerships. LABOR WILL SHUT DEVELOPERS’ SPOT REZONING BACKDOOR

This will stop developers going to the state government to seek a site-specific amendment to a council’s Local Environmental Plan (LEP) after it has been rejected by a council. SOLAR FOR HALF A MILLION HOMES

A Daley Labor Government will support 500,000 households to install roof top solar over the next 10 years, reducing electricity bills and supporting cheaper, cleaner and greener energy. Labor’s Solar Homes policy will provide a rebate up to $2,200 for adding solar panels to owner occupied households, where combined household income is under $180,000. On average, households could expect to save up to $600 a year off their electricity bills. Continue reading
 

LABOR TO MAKE TAFE COURSES FREE

A Daley Labor Government will make TAFE free for more than 600,000 certificate level places in skill shortage courses over the next decade, starting with child care, disability care, aged care, construction, plumbing, and electrical trades. Labor’s plan will help people to find jobs in industries that are crying out for more workers, and make TAFE genuinely accessible to all, whether they are school leavers, people re-skilling, or changing careers.
